What is PayMe?
PayMe, released by HSBC, is the most popular social payment app in HongKong. It has surpassed the milestone of two million users, on its third anniversary since launch. Using the app, customers can pay their friends or businesses at the online and physical stores with their HongKong bank accounts. Store owners can use the app to collect payments across multiple devices.
How does the extension work?
This extension integrates PayMe into your Magento2 store. After a customer selects PayMe as a payment method on the checkout page, it will generate a PayCode with payment info for customers to scan and pay with their smartphones. After receiving the payment, PayMe will send a notification to your store, and the order status will change automatically on the backend. To better show your business brand, the extension allows the admin to upload a logo image from the backend to display in the center of the PayCode. It also enables the admin to create a credit memo to refund online payments to customers' PayMe accounts automatically. Security
The extension integrates the official PayMe Business API that is more secure without transmitting by any 3rd-party agency. After selecting PayMe on the checkout page, it will generate a PayCode for customers to scan and pay with PayMe. Customers' PayMe accounts and passwords will not be stored on the Magento server. Integration meets PCI compliance.
