 UnionPay is the sole bankcard association in China. With over 7.5 billion UnionPay cards issued globally, UnionPay is the world's biggest card network. It is widely used by Chinese shoppers internationally as well as domestically. By March 2019, UnionPay cards are accepted in 174 countries and regions, and by 52 million merchants worldwide. As part of their online payment processing, UnionPay offers an e-commerce solution, UnionPay Online Payments), which allows for cards to be accepted over the Internet with real-time transaction authorization.

Sunflowerbiz UnionPay extension integrates the official UnionPay Gateway Payment into Magento. After selecting Unionpay as a payment method on the checkout page, customers get redirected to UnionPay's official site to enter their UnionPay bank card numbers and passwords to complete the payment.

The extension integrates the official UnionPay gateway API that is more secure without transmitting by any 3rd-party agency. After selecting UnionPay on the checkout page, customers get redirected to UnionPay's official site to enter their UnionPay bank card numbers and passwords. Customers' bank card numbers and passwords will not be stored on the Magento server. Integration meets PCI compliance.

Pricing & Account

It's free to register a UnionPay Merchant Account on UnionPay's Merchant Platform and request the payment gateway. But the receiving bank that you use may charge extra fee.
